Semi-ripe cuttings; A very rough guide
14th January, 2013
Semi-ripe cuttings are simple, the late summer months provide a huge bounty of material from all the standard shrubs. On the nursery I never waste the prunings and trimmings available when tidying up our potted shrubs, here the growth is fresh and vigorous coming of young plants. It is rarely beneficial to propagate from old plants, I tend to hard prune established specimens in the winter or spring to promote a lovely flush of young growth as summer progresses.
