Metasequoia glyptostroboides "Goldrush"
14th January, 2013
A fine deciduous conifer, fresh golden leaves and lush growth make this highly desirable tree very gardenworthy. I developed something of a habit in recent years of planting trees in the middle of wide path...while this may seem absurd and be inconvenient for a while, eventually it can be highly effective when the lower branches are trimmed off and the path diverts or diverges around the tree.....It also allows more border space for other plants.
