Cornus nuttallii Portlemouth
16th May, 2013
A lovely select and rather excellent form with large creamy white bracts. Originating from the gardens of Dr Barker from Portlemouth near Salcombe in Devon. I am surprised it does so well here in The Dales....however it is well protected and still only a relatively young plant, of which i look forward to seeing in full bloom in a few more years.....what you see is just a taste of what's to come. At maturity and in full throttle it is simply magnificent.
