Actea and Phlox combination
5th January, 2013
This is a nice combination. Although not a particular cheerleader for variegated plants, I find the clean lines of Phlox "Harlequin" rather attractive. I first saw this combination at Threave Gardens in Dumfries, the headquarters of the National Trust for Scotland I believe, outside of this there was not much else of momentous note there i'm afraid, though this could be the time of year I visited as I would imagine the Rhododendrons to be quite spectacular.
